Carnival’s New Fuel Supplement

Carnival Corporation & plc’s six North American brands are implementing a fuel supplement for all new and existing bookings for cruises departing on or after February 1, 2008.

This supplement, which is $5 per person per day, applies to only the first and second guests in a stateroom and is not to exceed $70 per person per voyage.

The $5.00 a day pp charge is applicable to new and existing bookings, both deposited and paid in full bookings.

ALL BOOKED CLIENTS MUST BE CONTACTED REGARDING THIS NEW CHARGE.

The new supplement will apply to:

  • Carnival Cruise Lines
  • Costa Cruises
  • Cunard Line
  • Holland America Line
  • Princess Cruises
  • The Yachts of Seabourn

Executive Director of World’s Leading Cruise Lines, Jack Anderson, stated the reason for the supplement is because of increasing fuel prices, which has “dramatically increased Carnival Corporation & plc’s operating costs.” He explained what the company pays for fuel has increased 140 percent over the past three years, adding 50 percent of the increase has occurred in the last seven months.
