Next week Cunard Marketing launches an exciting New York metro area promotional campaign for the month of April, celebrating the inception of QM2's extended homeport schedule. Our goal with this effort is to generate high-impact, high-frequency awareness to capture the imagination of New Yorkers - and help them see that now is the time to finally experience this grand, iconic liner. We've planned for our intriguing creative, highlighting the unique awe-inspiring appeal of QM2, to be seen in volume - reaching both consumers and travel agents again and again through a variety of media, including:
- Telephone Kiosks - our ads will appear on nearly 90 phone kiosks throughout Manhattan beginning April 1, focusing on high-traffic areas, high-income zips and concentrations of travel agencies.
- Commuter Rail Posters - our posters will appear on platforms at over 100 LIRR and MetroNorth stations, also beginning April 1, reaching commuters to/from Long Island, Westchester and Connecticut.
- Mobile Video Vans - we will have special, brand-wrapped video vans traveling routes reaching our high-income target during the week of April 9. These will be manned by "White Star Bellmen" who will stop and handout promotional material in a variety of locations - from lunchtime on Wall Street, to commuter stations during rush hour, to Broadway and the Met in the evenings.
