Update on Star Princess Damage - Cancelled Dates

Princess Cruises has now completed the damage assessment of Star Princess following last week's fire. In order to make permanent repairs to the affected cabins, the ship will be taken out of service until May 15, when it will begin its European cruise season.

This means all cruises prior to that date are cancelled, including the Caribbean cruises which depart on April 9, 16 and 23, along with the April 30 Transatlantic cruise. Passengers booked on these cruises will receive a full refund of their cruise and non-refundable air charges. Princess will also provide passengers with a future cruise credit equal to 25 percent of the cruise fare paid on these sailings. The ship will be back in service for its first Europe cruise, which will depart from Copenhagen on May 15.
